A WCF-HK seeks to fight the seven biggest “child killers” in our world today: hunger, disease, homelessness, exploitation, illiteracy, broken families and violence. At present, we do this mostly through supporting disaster relief programs, homes and orphanages, rescue operations, and community development. If you would like, we could send you some information that explains our vision, our programs and how we use the gifts that you send to us for the needy children. ADOPTION AND CHILD SPONSORSHIPQ Can I sponsor a child through World Children’s Fund-HK?
A No.
Q Can I adopt a child through World Children’s Fund-HK?
A World Children’s Fund-HK believes strongly in adoption and many of the programs we partner with provide children for adoption. However, we are not an adoption agency.
AUTO PAYQ Does WCF-HK have the facility to receive "Auto Pay" donations?
A We have the authorisation forms that will debit your bank account or credit card monthly for the amount you wish to give. Contact us to let us know that you would like to participate in our Auto Pay program, and we will send you the proper forms you need right away. It's a good feeling to know you don't have to worry about this and your faithful support is getting through to needy children on time every month.
CHILD CARE PROGRAMSQ What kind of programs do my donations help?
A World Children’s Fund-HK uses your donations to help underprivileged children in six program areas. If you would like more information which describes our programs, vision, and operating principles, contact us and we will send the information to you right away.
JOSEPH LAMQ Who is Joseph Lam?
A Mr. Lam is one of the outstanding humanitarians in the world. He was born in Hong Kong, China and immigrated to the United States in 1966. In 1982, he had a life-changing encounter with Mother Teresa in Calcutta, India. Eventually, this personal meeting led him to devote his life to helping others, especially needy children. In the mid-90s, he started his first children’s project and later that year incorporated World Children’s Fund in the USA. Since then, he has traveled the world helping local leaders set up local WCF-style organizations, which work together informally through the WCF Global Care and Share Network. Q What kind of doctorate does Joseph Lam have?
A Joseph Lam has been honored with a Ph.D. from Liberty University (Virginia, USA) for "his distinguished humanitarian efforts to save the lives of needy children."
